Το πρόθεμα μαστού από αφρώδες υλικό χρησιμοποιείται τον πρώτο χρονικό διάστημα μετά από τη μαστεκτομή έως ότου επουλωθεί η περιοχή και μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί ο μαστός σιλικονης.

Με τη χρήση του αφρώδους προθέματος αποκαθίσταται προσωρινά η οπτική εικόνα του σώματος. Το πρόθεμα είναι κατασκευασμένο από αφρώδες υλικό με θήκη από βαμβακερό, διαπνέον υλικό, φιλικό προς το δέρμα.

Η σύνθεση της θήκης του προθέματος είναι 100% πολυεστέρας στο μπροστινό τμήμα και 100% βαμβάκι στο εσωτερικό.
