When your baby is diagnosed with what is known as hip dysplasia, the delayed development of the hip joint socket, your doctor will talk to you about the appropriate treatment methods and the duration of treatment.
The bending of the Tübingen hip and the correctness of the abduction according to Professor Dr. Bernau determines the best possible conditions to ensure that your child's hip matures completely without problems. The position of the hip that promotes growth is known as the "sitting position". It is the same position that the baby takes in the womb before birth. The splint bends the baby's hip joints at an angle of more than 90 degrees and stretches them slightly. Even though this may seem unusual at first, it is just an extension of the prenatal phase. This allows your baby's hips to mature under the same favorable conditions as they would in the womb.
The splint is available in three sizes and can be adjusted individually as the child gets older.
