The Lumbar Orthosis Spinova Unload Classic from the German company Bauerfeind. The bridging frame of the orthosis reduces lumbar lordosis and restricts rotation. It is extremely light and automatically adapts to the patient's body shape. The corset stays, arranged in a circular pattern around the back, provide additional stability for the spine and help to straighten it. The compression exerted on the abdominal cavity relieves the lumbar spine and supports it as far as the lower thoracic spine. The breathable Spinova mesh material adapts perfectly to the patient's body shape and ensures excellent wearing comfort. The anatomically shaped abdominal fastening with comfortable edges and large finger pockets makes it easier to put on and take off the orthosis.
Indications:
- Vertebral displacement
- Formation of gaps in the vertebral joints (spondylolysis/spondylolisthesis, grades I and II)
- Wearing of the vertebral joints with unusual flexibility of the joints (Facet syndrome with hypermobility)
- Radiating pain in the lumbar spine area (very severe [pseudo] radicular lumbar syndrome/very severe lumbar sciatica)
- Narrowing of the spinal canal with symptoms of numbness (lumbar spinal canal stenosis with paresis [conservative, post-operative])
- Narrowing of the side nerve root canal (foraminal stenosis, lateral)
- Vertebral fractures (fractures of the lumbar spine, relieving the rear edges of vertebrae)
