The active stander Glider from the American company EasyStand has state-of-the-art technology of active posture that is not present in any other stander. Active standing provides lower body range of motion and upper body strength.
Unlike passive standers, users move the handles with their hands (or a caregiver can help) creating a reciprocal movement in the legs. The full range seat has adjustable, detachable sections for each leg and allows full leg extension while the user is standing. This advanced technology enhances the medical benefits of standing and keeps the body fit.
In addition, the stander Glider is easy to adapt to people of different heights and abilities for use in a rehabilitation environment. The adjustable resistance rollers are accessible to the user while in a standing position so they can easily adjust the resistance to twelve different settings. Seat depth, back angle, leg height, knee height and handle height are also easily adjustable.
